The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) is a bureau of the Department of the Interior (DOI). Its mission is to conserve, protect, and enhance fish and wildlife and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. Policies and procedural guidance for the USFWS are part of the Fish and Wildlife Service Directives. The USFWS Directives System consists of:
National Policy Issuance System - This system promulgates the Director's national policies for managing the Service and its programs. National Policy Issuances
