The OSHA Technical Manual (OTM) serves as a guidance document for OSHA Compliance Safety and Health Officers in current occupational safety and health technical procedures and information. It is OSHA's intent that the OTM provide technical information and guidance to promote hazard recognition and the establishing of sound safety and health programs. Section 1 of the OTM covers sampling, measurement methods, and instruments, and includes the following subsections:
Personal Sampling for Air Contaminants
Sampling and Analytical Errors (SAEs)
Detector Tubes and Pumps
Sampling for Surface Contamination
Electronic Flow Calibrators
Manual Buret Bubble Meter Technique
Shelf Life of Sampling Media Provided by SLTC
Sampling for Special Analyses
The OTM is available online at the OSHA World Wide Web site. Users can access the OTM using a standard web browser, and can link on the title of each section to obtain the full text.
