Since 1982, UNITED has operated a nonhazardous pre-treatment facility, processing/recycling wastes such as: used oils, wastewaters, ink washwater, paint washwater, sludges, and high metal bearing streams. UNITED recycles over 80,000 gallons of used oil each month (sold to re-refiners). The facility uses several types of treatment technologies such as ultra-filtration, rotary vacuum filtration, carbon adsorption, chemical treatment, metals treatment, filter press, centrifuge, and solidification.
UNITED has a large trucking fleet with various sized tankers (2,000, 3,200 and 5,500 gallons). All the tankers have vacuum capacity, enabling more flexibility with pumping tanks, pits, sumps, drums, and totes.
