Thermatrix was established in 1992 to provide solutions for the prevention, minimization or destruction of:
- volatile organic compounds (VOCs),
- hazardous air pollutants (HAPs),
- wastewater treatment emissions,
and the treatment and remediation of a variety of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.
They offer two key technologies:
- Flameless Thermal Oxidation - utilizes pollutants as fuel to maintain oxidation in an inert ceramic bed, producing a uniform and stationary oxidation zone.
- PADRE - a non-destructive, on-site regenerable adsorption system that removes and recovers VOCs from contaminated air streams. PADRE uses specialized synthetic adsorbents to safely and effectively treat air streams not well suited for thermal treatment.
The company also offers a full range of products and services. They can provide compact, stand-alone emissions control devices to large scale process treatment systems or basic engineering services to turnkey pollution control systems.
Thermatrix has completed commercialization of its technologies, with more than 40 systems successfully commissioned and in operation domestically and internationally.
