The Northeast Business Environmental Network (NBEN) mission is to support environmental excellence as a competitive advantage.
Their Discussion Group "Forum for Best Management Practices" allows members to share information on proven techniques for implementing environmental management systems and self-auditing. These programs share the objective of learning from fellow environmental professional's experience.
Their strategy for carrying out their mission is to share the latest information about environmental, health, and safety issues with companies, technical assistance and regulatory agencies, and environmental groups.
NBEN sponsors monthly workshops and conferences on these topics, an exclusive E-mail discussion group, and their webpage. Their programs share the objective of learning from fellow environmental professional's experience.
The NBEN is funded through membership dues, a grant from the Bay State Manufacturing Networks Program at the Corporation for Business, Work and Learning and in-kind support from the Toxics Use Reduction Institute at the University of Massachusetts - Lowell.
