The Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards Technology Transfer Network Bulletin Board System (OAQPS TTN) is a network of electronic bulletin boards which provide information on technology exchange in different areas of air pollution ranging from emission test methods to regulatory air quality models. It is available 24 hours, 7 days a week, except on Mondays from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Eastern Time. Users can access this system via dial-up modem or from the Internet via Telnet (telnet://ttnbbs.rtpnc.epa.gov). Telnet users must have a Kermit protocol interface for their system in order to download.
In 1996, EPA added World Wide web access methods, giving users the ability to access the information via the Web (TTN Web) using a standard web browser. TTN Web is a collection of related web sites containing information about many areas of air pollution science, technology, regulation, measurement, and prevention. Specific areas of support include modeling, emissions measurement, monitoring, training, control technology, and the Clean Air Act. In addition, the TTN Web serves as a public forum for the exchange of technical information and ideas among participants and EPA staff.
