Abstract:

ARC Digitized Raster Graphics (ADRGs) are digital raster representations of selected charts on CD-ROMs. This product is used in electronic map displays, digital moving map displays, command and control systems and for general planning purposes that require small to medium scale (1:5 million to 1: 250,000) cartographic features.

The Global Navigation and Planning Chart shows principal cities, towns, drainage, primary roads and railroads, prominent culture, shaded relief, and spot elevations. Aeronautical data includes NAVAIDS, airports and restricted areas.

The Operational Navigation Chart provides cartographic data with an aeronautical overprint depicting obstructions, aerodromes, special use airspace, navigational aids, maximum elevation figures, and related data.

The Jet Navigation Chart provides coverage of large cities, roads, railroads, and drainage. Relief is shown by contours, spot elevations, and gradient tints. Aeronautical information necessary for the purpose of the charts is included. This includes restricted areas, L/MF and VOR ranges, radio beacons, and a selection of standard broadcast stations and airports. Runway patterns are exaggerated so they may be more readily identified as visual landmarks.

The Tactical Pilotage Chart provides cartographic data with aeronautical overprint depicting obstructions, aerodromes, special use airspace, navigational aids and related data. Because of the scale, some features, including obstructions, are generalized in developed regions (only the highest obstruction within ticked area or urban quadrant is shown).

The Joint Operations Graphic Chart portrays such features as relief, drainage, vegetation, populated places, cultural features, and coastal hydrography. Linear features are plotted as to their correct orientation and in their true location, wherever scale permits. The aeronautical overprint depicts obstructions, aerodromes, special use airspace, navigational aids, and related data. If produced from a Joint Operations Graphic-Ground (JOG-G) base, contour line elevation values are converted from meters to feet.
