ENSA-IN, ERD Waste Corporation's South Bend, Indiana facility, provides the following services:
- Processing of bulk and containerized quantities of organic wastes into a supplemental liquid fuel for industrial application, including liquification of sludges.
- Operation of a hazardous waste transfer facility for waste not suitable for the liquid supplemental fuel blending program.
- Shredding of various cans and consumer goods.
- Consolidating and compacting of hazardous and nonhazardous solids.
- Aerosol can processing.
Liquids received into the tank farm are filtered and blended with other like materials that yields an outbound fuel meeting the specifications of the receiving cement kiln.
The facility has RCRA Part A and B Permits, and is permitted to receive most types of organic wastes for processing and transfer to other disposal facilities. Hazardous waste codes the facility can accept include most of the "D" codes, and many of the "F", "K", "P", and "U" codes.
All waste streams are pre-approved and assigned a waste stream code prior to being accepted for processing.
