Canada's Consolidated Federal Regulations are available at this site by scrolling down the page and linking on the "Consolidated Regulations" link. The Consolidated Regulations are indexed alphabetically by the Title of Acts to which they pertain. To avoid confusion when browsing through the index, scroll to the top of the list to see whether you are in the regulations or statutes index. The query option is somewhat confusing to use so it is recommended that users browse the regulations by Title of Act. The button at the bottom of the page brings up the next sequence of the list, and allows users to continue browsing until the desired regulations are obtained.
Hot links, not in italics, within the text of the regulations switch the language between English and French. If the name of Title of Act is a hot link in the text of the regulations, click on it to go to the act. Click the back button on your tool bar to return to the regulation.
The regulations online at this site are current through December 1, 1996, and they will soon be updated through August 31, 1997. Refer to the date of the last update which is listed below the Consolidated Regulations link. When using this online site, users should also refer to the Canada Gazette for current updates to the regulations.
Hardcopies of regulations can be ordered from phone or fax from the contacts provided below. The CD ROM set is updated twice a year. Price is in Canadian currency.
