Abstract:

Enviromental Health Perspectives is a series of monthly science and environmental health news journals including Perspectives (commentary correspondence and debate), Environews (current updates, NIEHS and NTP news in-depth investigative articles, policy and legislative analysis, and science innovations), and Research (original, peer-reviewed research articles, reviews, and meeting reports), other hardcopy publications, and several databases.

These publications are part of the NIEHS.ehis (National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences environmental health information service). The NIEHS.ehis is a full-service website that produces, maintains, and disseminates information on the environment in the form of a searchable directory on the internet.

NIEHS.ehis is the most extensive international database of searchable information on the environment, toxicity, and cancer. The NIEHS.ehis serves as an authoritative and contemporary source for the dissemination and use of such data. Hard copies of journals ( Environmental Health Perspectives --monthly issues and supplements ), reports (National Toxicology Program Technical Report Series--two-year toxicology and carcinogenesis studies and short term toxicity studies) and cancer reports (Biennial Report on Carcinogens--abstracts and full reports) are available as part of the service. Subscribers also receive internet access to several scientifically important databases, including the chemical health and safety database and the historical control database for rodents. Other databases of relevant information will be added in the future.
Some information at the website is free including some abstracts from the various hardcopy publications and certain parts of the databases.
