The National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) was created in 1986 through an agreement between the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) Education Foundation and Auburn University.
NCAT is involved in research, publishing newsletters/publications, training, the Southeastern Superpave Center, and other informative efforts related to the Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) industry.
