The Soil Transport and Fate (STF) Database and Model Management System was developed by EPA's Center for Subsurface Modeling Support. STF was developed to aid environmental professionals to work problems related to vadose contamination and remediation. The STF database presents quantitative and qualitative information concerning the behavior of organic and inorganic chemicals in soil environments. The model consist of three major components:
- STF database
- Vadose Zone Interactive Processes (VIP) and Regulatory and Investigative Treatment Zone (RITZ) models
- VIP and RITZ editors.
Approximately 400 chemicals are included in the database, these compounds are identified by their chemical name and Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) number.
How To Access The Data
A copy of this database system can be obtained at no cost by submitting a request on company letterhead along with 2 formatted disks. Software and a user's manual will be provided.
