The K PPC offers environmental services to business and industry. It exists to help Kentuckians prevent pollution in industrial process through training, on-site assessments, applied research, and providing technical information.
Services include:
On Site Technical Assistance
The most important service the Kentucky Pollution Prevention Center provides is the on-site visit to assist clients with problem wastestreams. The service is free, nonregulatory, and totally confidential. Any business in Kentucky, no matter how large or small, can benefit from KPPC’s free technical assistance.
Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
The Kentucky Pollution Prevention Center can serve a valuable role as a catalyst to help companies that are interested in adopting some form an EMS.
P2 Research
KPPC stands ready to help any Kentucky business or industry with pollution prevention research projects. In the past, KPPC has been able to show Kentucky companies how to save thousands of dollars by reducing their waste at the source.
Pollution Prevention Training
KPPC offers pollution prevention training through free workshops, seminars, satellite teleconferences, manuals, interactive CD-ROMs, and the Internet. We regularly schedule workshops and teleconferences throughout the year in sites around the state.
