PH-WATCH is a pH Sensor Probe which includes Signal conditioning and 25' of cable. It requires 1 analog input. EC-WATCH measures water conductivity and includes 25' cable. It requires 1 analog input. AQUA-TEL94 averages soil moisture over the length of the probe (available in 5" and 29" probes). It includes 25' cable and requires 1 analog input.
AQUA-TEL94+S combines 2 sensors in one package. It monitors soil salinity in addition to average soil moisture as above AQUA-TEL94. It requires 2 analog sensor inputs.
LEVEL-WATCH submersible pressure transducer for liquid level monitoring is available in 4', 11', 30', and 100' depth ranges. LEVEL-WATCH+S includes conductivity measurement with water level measurement.
The above sensors can be read with 1) Automata's METER as desired or 2) MINI-LOG Field Station and FIELD LOG Data Aquisition Software.
Readings with MINI-LOG can be accumulated in increments of 0.1 minutes or on demand. Informational guides are included to estimate logging memory capacities.
Although the system is transportable, we recommend that the AQUA-TEL soil moisture sensors be left in place for less soil texture disruption.

Limitations:
To most effectively use AQUA-TEL94 a soil moisture curve should be developed for the soil in which AQUA-TEL is to be used. This can be done quickly with AQUA-TEL, and some soil moisture curves are provided.
Liquid level above the LEVEL-WATCH Sensor is measured indirectly by measuring the hydrostatic head of pressure. A vented tube is available for barometric pressure compensation. The Sensor can be damaged by water freezing internally. The Sensor must be removed if freezing temperatures are anticipated.
The Basic MINI-LOG Data Logger Station is capable of reading 4 analog (8 bit) sensors. Up to 4 digital event inputs and up to 4 control outputs are available as options.
The electrode end of the PH-WATCH Sensor must be kept wet at all times. If installed in a pipe, the liquid pressure must not exceed 100 psi For periodic conditions of wet and dry when using the PH WATCH sensor, Automata, Inc., recommends using a "J" pipe in order to keep the sensor wet.
Automata can custom manufacture cable lengths for sensors based upon the users needs.
