The Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC) conducts research for resource conservation, management, and utilization, and for habitat quality and maintenance through three research programs at seven different locations. The Center plans, develops, and manages a multidisciplinary program of basic and applied research to: (1) better understand living marine resources of the Northeast Continental Shelf Ecosystem from the Gulf of Maine to Cape Hatteras, and the habitat quality essential for their existence and continued productivity; and (2) describe and provide to management, industry, and the public, options for the conservation and utilization of living marine resources, and for the restoration and maintenance of marine environmental quality.
Bibliographies of NEFSC publications are available at the NEFSC web site for the years 1994 and 1995. These bibliographies contain the peer-reviewed publications ("publications"), non-peer-reviewed publications & reports ("reports"), and abstracts for oral presentations & poster displays ("abstracts") which were prepared by NEFSC employees, and which have a publication date in the year shown. Some of the publications, reports, and abstracts by NEFSC employees deal more with administrative than scientific matters, therefore not all works are appropriate for inclusion in these bibliographies. Only those works are included which have been specifically identified and provided by the NEFSC's Executive Staff.
