Abstract:

The primary purpose of the gaseous pollutant monitoring program are to: establish existing or baseline concentrations in National Park Service (NPS) units; assess trends in air quality in NPS units; judge compliance with national air quality standards; and provide data for atmospheric model development and evaluation. Technical report series are available for each National Park area in the network upon request. In addition, all NPS data are submitted to the EPA AIRS database.
