The EPA Maps On Demand project is designed as a compendium of World Wide Web based mapping products developed by EPA's regional and programmatic geographic information system analysts. Maps on Demand will access EPA's Spatial Data Library System (ESDLS) and ENVIROFACTS in order to deliver spatial analytical information products relevant to decision making for environmental protection. ESDLS is an integrated collection of EPA's spatial data resources that have been documented and processed into a nationally consistent and standardized format. ENVIROFACTS is a relational database implementation of several of EPA's program systems.
Users can link to the web site below and choose from four mapping options:
- SITEINFO - Location/Site/Facility based. Small areas, radius from 2 to 10 miles around a centroid location. You need a latitude / longitude centroid coordinate to make a Siteinfo request! Maps to about 15" x 11" pagesize.
- ZIPINFO - Zip Code based. Zip Code area maps, variable scale. Maps to about 15" x 11" pagesize.
- BASININFO - River Basin based. River basins by hydrologic unit code, variable scale and sizes. Maps from 15" x 11" to 100" x 60" pagesize.
- CNTYINFO - County based. Single county within a state, variable scales and sizes. Maps from 15" x 11" to 100" x 60" pagesize.
