The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) provides an online bibliography of its guidance documents, policies and working memoranda at the web site referenced above. The bibliography is organized by the following topics: Air Quality; Drinking Water Protection; Environmental Laboratories; Underground Storage Tank Management; Land and Waste Management; and Water Pollution Control.
The bibliography lists a variety of documents, internal memoranda and Departmental policies which are made available to the regulated community. The material listed are used as "guides" to supplement environmental rules and to provide assistance in understanding and complying with complicated state and federal regulations. Although not available online, printed copies of these documents may be obtained by contacting the DHEC Freedom of Information Office. Availability is limited in most instances, however, copies may be obtained for the cost of reproduction.
