The Maine Geological Survey focuses on ground water and coastal marine issues, and uses the statewide geographic information system (GIS) to improve analyses of map information available to the public. The divisions of the Geological Survey include: Water; Glacial; Marine; Bedrock; Economic; and Minerals. There are geologic publications in the following subject areas; water, glacial, geophysics, neotectonics, paleontology, topo maps, marine, bedrock, and economic. |
