In this program, the California EPA's Department of Toxic Substances Control certifies pollution prevention and waste treatment technologies in conjunction with the USEPA. For those technologies accepted into the program, CalEPA will establish a team to evaluate performance claims by the applicant. Technologies that address the electronics, metal plating, finishing, petroleum refining, and printing industries are of particular interest. Technologies must be near or already at full-scale operation, exhibit technical success, and show potential market acceptance.
