The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has put together a Core List of Environmental Sources for Statistics at the EPA World Wide Web site. The titles in this listing contain statistics relating to environmental issues and related areas of study such as demographics, energy consumption, manufacturing, and climate. For each title a brief abstract is given, along with pricing and ordering information for some of the publications. Some documents are available from EPA, some are available through the National Technical Information Service (NTIS), and some are available through the publisher.
This site also provides links to other electronic sources of statistical information, such as:
- National Marine Fisheries Service - Fisheries Statistics (Internet): provides a range of data relating to fisheries and related issues.
- Statistical Abstract of the United States (Internet): provides access to the electronic version of the National Data Book.
- USDA Economic Research Service Home Page (Internet): provides economic agricultural data on topics such as population, employment, farm characteristics, farm financial indicators, and agricultural commodities.
