Data sets include the full spectrum of geologic analyses performed on seafloor sediment and ocean crust samples, as well as in situ measurements such as drilling logs, and seafloor photographs. Samples described and analyzed include cores, grab samples, dredge hauls, and drill samples from the ocean floor.
Data sets include the full spectrum of geologic analyses performed on seafloor sediment and ocean crust samples, as well as in situ measurements such as drilling logs, and seafloor photographs. Samples described and analyzed include cores, grab samples, dredge hauls, and drill samples from the ocean floor. Data were generated by oceanographic institutions and government agencies, worldwide. Data sets include full documentation as to methods, units, etc. Some data sets include bibliographic references. All data are searchable through a computerized inventory on a variety of parameters for each sample, including collecting institution, ship, latitude/longitude, water depth, sampling device and type of analyses. Note: methods, units and measurements are not uniform.
