The 1996 update for the database, Listing of Fish and Wildlife Advisories (LFWA), is available from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This database includes all available information describing state-, tribal-, and federally issued fish consumption advisories in the United States for the 50 States, the District of Columbia, and four U.S. Territories, and has been expanded to include the 12 Canadian provinces and territories. The database contains information provided to EPA by the states, tribes, and Canada as of December 1996.
How To Access The Data
Users can download the database free of charge in the form of an executable file from the EPA Fish Advisory web site. Once it is downloaded, users can search the entire database in many ways.
