Provides 28 ASTM practices, test methods, guides, and terminology for the abatement and control of lead hazards in paint, soil, dust, and workplace air. Of the 28 standards, 9 new standards cover: Collection of paint, soil, and settled dust samples for lead determination: Collection of airborne particulate lead samples during abatement and construction activities, for analysis by atomic spectrometry; Terminology relating to abatement practices in buildings; and Analysis of digested samples for lead using ICP-AES, FAAS, or GFAAS techniques.
