The Area Source Analysis Program (ASAP) and accompanying technical report and user manual provide guidance as to the necessary number of soil gas or soil samples needed to estimate air emissions from area sources. The report presents statistical techniques to assist with the analysis of such samples and a discussion of the underlying concepts. Procedures for desktop calculations are described in detail. The ASAP software can be used to perform all procedures described in the report. A user manual for the software is included in the report.
