Iowa's Waste Reduction Assistance Program (WRAP) provides non-regulatory technical assistance designed to reduce wastes and enhance productivity. This professional service is provided at no charge! Designed to work with industries, businesses and institutions of 100 or more employees or those classified as Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) large quantity generators, WRAP helps make pollution prevention pay.
The Program includes:
On-Site Assessment. Working with your staff, WRAP's team of industry professionals conduct an on-site assessment of operations to identify waste reduction opportunities. The WRAP team has expertise in energy efficiency, chemical engineering, foundries, metallurgy, paint and coating, plastics technology, purchasing, failure analyses, fabrication and much more.
Workshop. Promoting the use of "in-house" expertise, WRAP's workshop focuses on implementing cost-effective waste reduction and pollution prevention projects.
Follow-Up. WRAP offers continuing support services such as additional on-site technical assistance, access to an extensive clearinghouse of pollution prevention technology information, and connection to waste exchanges.
