Abstract:

All chemists, biologists, and engineers working in the area of environmental analysis for organics. Sample prep chemists, analysts, and lab supervisors will all benefit from an understanding of the new techniques and trends. This course assumes the equivalent of a BS/BA in chemistry or a related field and one year of laboratory experience.

The course will help you understand the implementation, use, and limitations of the new sample prep techniques being used in leading environmental laboratories. These techniques are intended to streamline the sample prep process and increase the quality of analytical data and, in many cases, are used in the new EPA methods for organics in solid waste, waste water, and drinking water.
