S-K operates a hazardous and nonhazardous waste landfilling facility that can accept the following types of wastes: wastewaters, soils, organics, inorganics, paint sludges, reactives, halogenated and nonhalogenated solvents, acids, caustics, oils, asbestos, PCBs (< 50 ppm), pesticides, and heavy metals. Treatment technologies offered at the site include: alkaline chlorination, evaporation, micro- and macro-encapsulation, oxidation/reduction, solidification, and stabilization. Contact the facility for a full listing of accepted wastes. The facility can accept waste in containers, bulk trucks, and by rail (a spur is near the facility).
The facility is operating under an approved RCRA Part B Permit and also offers cleanup services, tank cleaning, and transportation.
For waste streams to be landfilled at the facility, the waste must be profiled by the generator, analyzed for required parameters, and formally accepted by the facility.
