NERAC is a non-profit organization which offers a call-in service where users are matched with technical specialists who will search a vast array of databases that allows real-time review of citations relevant to the inquiry. Offers information on new technical, business and product developments, government opportunities, U.S. and European patent awards, trademarks, conference proceedings, and journal contents. Some key benefits include intelligence gathering and the ability to explore technological state of the art. Well over 100 databases are part of the NERAC system, including:

        • Applied Ecology Abstracts
        • Biological Abstracts
        • Chemical Engineering Abstracts
        • Corporate Technology Database
        • GeoRef
        • Medline
        • NIOSHTIC
        • Organic Chemistry Sections

        • Water Resources Abstracts.

          How To Access The Data

          Users can obtain access to these databases via subscription to NERAC. Subscription fees are based on company size and number of users. To conduct a search as a subscriber, users can call and speak to a technical representative who will set up a specialized database search. Information obtained from the search is then sent or e-mailed to the user.
