Abstract:

The National Status and Trends (NS&T) Program of the National Ocean Service conducts multi-year bioeffects assessment studies in selected coastal areas where the NS&T monitoring data indicate moderate-to-high levels of contaminants. Bottomfish are examined for the presence of tumors and lesions, signs of reproductive impairment, signs of genetic damage, and more.
