D TECH On-Site test kits are based upon immunoassay technology. Antibodies are designed to recognize specific compound(s) and in the execution of the test produce a measurable colorimetric response. The kits come complete with all material needed to run four samples. A single soil or water can be run in 25 minutes or four samples can be run simultaneously in 25 minutes.
The D TECH kits are light weight (1 lb) and portable. The measurement can be made by visual color comparison or with the hand-held reflectometer.

Performance Status:
While application of immunoassay to environmentally significant compounds is new, the technology has been used routinely in clinical diagnostics for over 30 years.
All D TECH kits are validated through Field Trials and demonstrate correlation to the analytical laboratory methods.
Limitations:
D TECH kits are designed and validated for a wide range of soils and water samples that are typical for site investigation and remediation activity. In general we do not recommend the use of these kits on samples that contain excessive oil or sea water samples without first consulting the Technical Service Group.
One of the unique features of an immunoassay method is the ability to assay samples with relatively minimal sample preparation.
