The Iowa Waste Exchange is a free and confidential program that actively promotes the reuse and recycling of Iowa business and industry by-products and wastes. The Iowa Waste Exchange Service staff members meet with business people to:
- Identify their company's waste streams,
- Facilitate transfer of those materials by actively searching for companies and non-profit organizations to reuse or recycle them,
- Save their company money in avoided disposal costs,
- Locate valuable secondary materials for potential use in their business, saving company money on the purchase of new materials.
