Abstract:

RAPA is a non-profit corporation organized to explore issues of assessment and management of health, safety and environmental risks and to further the education and professional development of individuals sharing this objective.

They were organized exclusively for educational, literary and scientific purposes.

Their goals are:
  • To promote multidisciplinary research on the theory and practice of risk assessment and management
  • To foster intellectual exchange among researchers, risk assessors and policy makers
  • To encourage public involvement in risk assessment and management
  • To examine the use of risk assessment in legislative, regulatory and other policy deliberations in the U.S. and elsewhere
  • To study the use of risk analysis in decision making.
    They publish the professional journal Risk: Health, Safety and Environment and RAPA News
