SWSTAT computes surface-water statistics using the computation methods in WATSTORE programs A969 and A193. Flow-duration tables and curves can be produced with standard or user-defined class intervals; annual series of n-day high or low flows can be generated; frequency analysis of annual series by method of moments and the log-Pearson Type III distribution and trend analysis of annual series using Kendall Tau test can be performed; minimum, maximum, mean, and standard deviation of a time series can be computed; and comparison statistics of time series by class intervals can be produced. Input daily time series are read from a Watershed Data Management (WDM) file and generated annual time series are written to the WDM file. The programs ANNIE and IOWDM can be used to format data to and from a WDM file.
