The BRS Database contains information concerning waste generation, management, and waste minimization activities for large quantity generators and hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities. Under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), these facilities are required to report the data to state environmental agencies, who in turn provide the information to Regional and Headquarters EPA offices.
Biennial report data is collected, validated, and maintained by state and EPA Regional Offices in the BRS Database. The BRS National Oversight Database (NODB) contains those data elements which have been determined by states, EPA Regions and EPA Headquarters to be necessary for the oversight of the RCRA program from a national perspective.
How To Access The Data
Go to the BRS Internet Web site listed below.
1. View Reports: Adobe Acrobat data files can be viewed from the Web site above.
2. Search Data: At the bottom of the BRS Web page, click on the link to the Right to Know Network (RTK Net). Then click on the Databases button at the RTK site. To search database files, follow provided directions.
In addition, the 1995 Preliminary data on CD-ROM is available for purchase from NTIS.
