Abstract:

This comprehensive course begins with an overview of the hydrologic cycle, which is the building block of many concepts in hydrology. Basic mechanical properties of fluids are covered in this course, as well as various ground water flow conditions and basic flow equations such as Darcy's Law. Students are also introduced to drilling and sampling methods, hydrogeochemistry, aquifer analysis, borehole geophysics and ground water measurement techniques.
