Abstract:

The National Trends Network/National Acid Deposition Program monitors precipitation chemistry on a national scale. The current network consists of 196 sites in the conterminous U.S., Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and American Samoa. The program provides weekly precipitation chemistry data and information on trends in concentrations and deposition of hydrogen, sulfate, nitrate, ammonium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, chloride, and ortho-phosphate ions in precipitation. Public inquiries should be made to the Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory.
