Delaware has state asbestos regulations for asbestos. The state is NESHAP-delegated by the EPA Region 3.
State/Federal Agencies Involved with the State Asbestos Program
The following agencies/entities have asbestos-related regulatory and enforcement responsibilities in Delaware:
A. The Delaware Department of Administrative Services, Division of Facilites Management, Asbestos Office (general phone (302) 739-3930) is involved in the following state/federal asbestos enforcement/requirements:
- training courses - The state training course program for asbestos personnel is partially approved by the EPA Region 3
- certifications
