Chemical Waste Management operates a hazardous waste landfill, wastewater treatment, and waste transfer facility that can accept waste types such as: wastewaters, contaminated soils, inorganics organics, paints sludges, PCBs (any concentration), pesticides, reactives, heavy metals, non-regulated lab packs, acids, and caustics.
In addition to the landfill, waste treatment technologies employed at the site include: solar evaporation ponds, wastewater treatment, solidification/stabilization, microencapsulation, and macroencapsulation. Wastes are accepted into the facility in containers, trucks, or by rail.
The facility operates under an approved RCRA Part B Permit, a TSCA Permit for waste storage/transfer, and can accept CERCLA wastes.
For a waste stream to be accepted at the facility, the waste must be profiled by the generator, analyzed for required parameters, and formally accepted by the facility.
