Enviroline (Environmental Abstracts) is a bibliographic database which provides access to over 200,000 citations from 1975 to the present, and which covers a broad range of topics related to the environment and natural resources management. Enviroline provides indexing and abstracting coverage, and includes more than 1,000 scientific, technical, trade, professional, and general periodicals; conference papers and proceedings; government documents; industry reports; newspapers; and project reports dealing with all aspects of the environment.
All document citations in the database are assigned to the following categories for quick location: Air Pollution, Environmental Design & Urban Ecology, Energy, Environmental Education, Food and Drugs, General Environmental Topics, International Environmental Topics, Land Use & Pollution, Noise Pollution, Non-Renewable Resources, Oceans and Estuaries, Population Planning & Control, Radiological Contamination, Renewable Resources - Terrestrial and Water, Toxicology and Environmental Safety, Transportation, Waste Management, Water Pollution, Weather Modification & Geophysical Change, and Wildlife.
How To Access The Data
Enviroline is available online through subscription to various data service companies, including DIALOG, Orbit, DataStar, Lexis-Nexis, and others (updated monthly). In addition, Enviroline is available on CD-ROM through subscription to CIS under the name Environment Abstracts. Environment Abstracts on CD-ROM is updated quarterly. A full text version of Enviroline is also available on microfiche from CIS.
