Six data sets are provided in this offering. All data sets report on the status of shellfish growing waters as of January 1, 1995. One table contains data on pollution sources contributing to classification and their relative importance by estuarine and coastal drainage area (EDA, CDA). Each EDA and CDA is identified by a unique 4 character code developed by NOAA. Data exists for 122 EDA's and 98 CDA's. Another table provides the same data by state. The states are identified by 2 letter abbreviations. The third and fourth tables contain data on relative abundance of molluscan shellfish by EDA, CDA and state. The fifth and sixth tables provide the basic information on classification and acreage of each shellfish growing area by EDA, CDA and state.
