The Hazardous Materials Information Exchange (HMIX) is a computerized information system designed especially for the distribution and exchange of hazardous materials information. It provides a centralized source for sharing information pertaining to hazardous materials emergency management, training, resources, technical assistance, and regulations. With the HMIX, you can retrieve information, provide information to other users, or interact with peers. The primary features of the HMIX are: Background Information; Accessing the HMIX and SALEMDUG Bulletin Board Systems; News and Information; Calendar of Upcoming Conferences, Seminars and Events; Useful Internet Links; and Downloadable Files. The HMIX can be accessed through the World Wide Web, by dialing with a modem, or through the Internet via Telnet to hmix.dis.anl.gov. |
