Skelly and Loy is a multi-disciplinary firm that has been providing technical and planning assistance for industry, business and government agencies for 25 years. The firm is structured into several Service Groups. These Service Groups are Environmental, Engineering, Waste Management, and Cultural Resources.
- Environmental Service Group - a full-service environmental team, ecological studies, environmental assessments and impact statements, planning studies. Staff includes: farmland agronomists, botanists, ecologists, chemists, geologists, hydrogeologists, soil scientists, archaeologists, biologists, civil, environmental and chemical engineers, community and regional planners
- Engineering Service Group - provides comprehensive mining, civil and environmental engineering services. Clients include coal, quarry, mineral and oil companies; electric utilities, independent power producers and co-generation facilities; financial institutions; law firms; commercial developers; industries and manufacturers; and local, State and Federal governments. Staff includes engineering and earth science disciplines required to perform technical studies, develop detailed plans, obtain regulatory approvals and provide construction phase services. Other areas include: water resources; stormwater management; wastewater collection, conveyance and treatment; waste management; site development and dam safety and design
- Waste Management Service Group - environmental compliance, help obtain financing for property transactions, "Innocent Landowner Defense", environmental liability, develop remediation plans, environmental audits, storage tank management and closure, confined space entry, site assessment and remediation, monitoring, bioremediation, groundwater treatment, vapor extraction, health and safety planning
- Cultural Resources Service Group - background sensitivity studies and geomorphological investigation through archaeological monitoring during the construction phase of a project, Phase I, Phase II, HABS/HAER, historic structures inventory, GIS.
