Abstract:

Green Star is a voluntary program created in Anchorage, Alaska in 1990. Green Star encourages organizations to incorporate techniques of waste reduction, energy conservation and pollution prevention into their daily activities. The Green Star Standards have been designed for organizations of any size and type. The Standards are straight forward and attainable.

          Participation will bring numerous benefits, including:
        • Lower energy, and waste disposal costs,
        • Reduced environmental liabilities,
        • Recognition within your community.
