National Geophysical Data Center's (NGDC's) marine geophysical data holdings are inventoried within GEOphysical Data System (GEODAS). Data include bathymetry (referenced elsewhere), magnetics, gravity and seismic reflection sub-bottom profiles, side-scan imagery, and some seismic refraction.
Data are available in MGD77 (Marine Geophysical Data) exchange format, a self-documenting format containing metadata, position, magnetic total and residual field (in nannoteslas), diurnal correction if available, free air gravity anomaly (in milligal), and seismic line and shotpoint numbers for cross reference to analog data.
