This facility serves the New England area as the largest storage and treatment fuels blending, stabilization, infectious waste, and incineration facility in New England. Halogenated solvents are reclaimed on-site and certain non hazardous solids are incinerated. Other wastes are treated and disposed at company-owned facilities or ultimate disposal sites.
Typical waste streams include: spent flammable solvents; oils, inorganic aqueous wastewaters, metal contaminated liquids and solids, contaminated soils and debris, chemical spill clean ups, halogenated solvents, PCB oils and contaminated equipment, cyanide and sulfide liquids and solids.
The facility has treatment, storage, and disposal capacities including a solid waste incinerator (rated at 350 lbs/hr), bulk-tank storage and transfer, warehouse storage and transfer facilities for containerized wastes, halogenated solvent recovery, bulk solid storage, PCB bulk solid storage, and storage for roll-offs and assorted bulk units.
The following solvents can be reclaimed at the facility: trichloroethylene, 1,1,1 - trichloroethane, perchloroethylene, 1,1,2 ,2 trichloro-1,2,2 trifluoromethane (Freon TF), and methylene chloride.
