The focus of the Emission Measurement Technical Information Center (EMTIC) is on emission test methods. Its purpose is to promote consistent and accurate test method application in the development and enforcement of national, state, and local emission prevention and control programs. This center offers computer programs, stack testing information, test methods, regulations, documents, the latest changes to methods, bulletins, news, and public domain software. Originally offered by EPA as a bulletin board service (BBS), the EMTIC BBS will eventually be phased out by EPA. EMTIC can now be accessed through EPA's Technology Transfer Network (TTN) web site. Users can access the site using a standard web browser, and can conduct keyword searches and link to a variety of information, such as: EMTIC guideline documents; EMTIC information documents; acid rain information; CFR promulgated methods, proposed methods, and other test methods; workshops/conferences/meetings; stacknotes; extractive technologies; and more. |
