This system provides a collection of seven online pesticide-related databases available through subscription to the Center for Environmental and Regulatory Information Systems (CERIS). The databases include: Pesticide Products, Pesticide Document Citations, EPA Data Submitters List, Pesticide Residue Tolerance Index, EPA Chemical Fact Sheets, Material Safety Data Sheets, and Federal Register Archives (a full-text fully searchable archive of Volumes 58, 59, 60, and forward beginning May 1, 1993.
How To Access The Data
The NPIRS databases are accessed through a communication gateway system (Ceris-Net Gateway computer) using dial-up modem at speeds up to 28,800 bps, long distance or 800 (fee-based) service, or Internet Telnet connection. Internet access requires full terminal emulation; e.g., telnet. Network browsers cannot access the databases. Custom searching is done by NPIRS User Services for both members and non-members (at an hourly fee plus on-line time). Non-member searches must be discussed by phone and confirmed in writing via fax or mail.
