CHWMEG, Inc. is a non-profit trade association of industrial companies interested in efficiently improving environmental performance through reducing environmental liability. Member companies represent a wide range of industry sectors, such as petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, printing, investor-owned utilities, and traditional manufacturing (including medical devices, power tools, and automotive parts). CHWMEG, Inc. has 41 member companies, and welcomes additional member companies that satisfy the membership criteria.
CHWMEG, Inc.'s activities include conducting comprehensive, independent reviews of commercial facilities that treat, store, dispose, recycle, or transport waste. The waste management facility reports are confidentially distributed to members only. Reports include valuable information on critical facility aspects, such as facility compliance history, incident history, environmental and operational risk, and financial strength. Reports include crucial value-added comparisons to industry benchmarks to support member company decision-making. Report costs are shared by the membership. Report costs provide significant cost savings over individual company facility auditing/information collection programs.
Other CHWMEG, Inc. activities include development and delivery of relevant seminars, conferences, and informational documents for distribution to both members and non-members. |
